Case Study 6: P

P, 21 years old, was referred to Vocation Training by Talent Match. P had been unemployed for over a year and was struggling to find work. P had suffered with severe anxiety and had dyslexia which he felt were barriers to employment. 

P had previous experience in physical roles but struggled in a learning environment due to his dyslexia. Despite this, P, still completed the traffic management training and passed all of his exams with the support of the trainer. P also increased his confidence from 6/10 when starting the course to 9/10 when he finished.

He started his work trial on the 20th of August 2019 and was offered full time employment on the 23rd August 2019. 

Due to how far he progressed P was nominated by Talent Match for the The Shining Stars 2019 Award and won for the Dudley borough!! Vocation Training were also nominated by Talent Match for the Partner of the Year Award due to the work they did with P. Vocation Training were a finalist in this category which the team at Vocation Training were incredibly proud of.
