L, 28 years old, came to us wanting to find a career in construction but due to being long term unemployed he had struggled to find employment. L also felt his dyslexia and previous criminal convictions were barriers to employment.
L completed the traffic management training, was offered support throughout the exams and passed all of them, earning the qualifications needed to start his work trial in traffic management. He was grateful to the team here and spoke highly of the course and the high standard of training he received.
His work trial began on the 5th of August 2019 and he was offered full time employment on the 13th August 2019. The team at Vocation Training have had regular catch ups with L and his employer and he is enjoying the role massively.
